Saariaho’s La Passion de Simone is a meditative journey in 15 stations exploring the life-work of French philosopher Simone Weil. The Juniper Tree is based on the Grimm Brothers’ tale of the same name with composers Glass and Moran setting alternating scenes.
This double-bill will transport the audience to other worlds both sublime and grim.
